Iconic Awards 2023: Awards Ceremony
Mesa Ceramics was distinguished internationally for the third time this year with an award that highlights the quality and innovation of its products. Already distinguished by the jury of the German Design Award 2023, the Yuki collection won, again in Germany, the Iconic Awards – Innovative interior, in the category ‘Kitchen and Home’.
The Iconic Awards honour innovative products and the smart solutions of the year. The YUKI collection stands out for the uniqueness of its shapes, the combination of colours and the rich decoration it presents. YUKI, which means snow, is a handcrafted influenced set designed to suit all occasions. A collection inspired by the mysterious Japanese lakes, which change colour according to the season and are situated at the base of majestic snow mountains. Each piece is unique – the reactive glass is complemented with digital printing technology that combines a rich design under reactive glass in greenish tones and a distinctive matt white glass.
The aim of the Iconic Awards: Innovative interior is to discover and reward the best in all areas of interior and product design. The competition is aimed at designers and companies in the interior design sector and is organised annually by the German Design Council.
The award reflects a holistic approach to design, which the German Design Council has advocated for at least 70 years. Quality, user comfort and innovative ideas are just as important as material selection, sustainability standards and intelligent approaches to solution.
Francisco Braga, CEO of Mesa Ceramics, was present at the ICONIC AWARDS 2023 awards ceremony that took place last Saturday in Cologne, Germany. After the ceremony that highlighted the “best of best” products of the year, there was time for networking with the other winning companies and the inauguration of the exclusive exhibition of the 2023 award winners that was integrated in the “imm cologne 2023”, the international furniture and interior design fair in Cologne and “PASSAGEN Interior Design Week 2023”.
In February of this year, the company stood out at the Ambiente fair, in Germany, by winning two international design awards. The international awards of the German Design Council, which elects, annually, the best products in the international design panorama, highlighted, for the second consecutive time, the products from Mesa Ceramics, this time with the Yuki collection, distinguished with the German Design Awards – Special in the category “Excellent Product Design – tableware ceramics”. Two days later, Mesa Ceramics participated in the awards ceremony of the prestigious international magazine Tableware International, where it was nominated for 3 awards, in the categories of “casual tableware”, “serving pieces” and “services for HoReCa” where it came out the winner with the KAZE collection – a collection that combines a sophisticated design on a white reactive glass with digital printing creating a spectacular natural pattern with a matt outer glass as contrast.
